Brian Mitchell is an expert on traditional, hand-drawn cartoons as well as an Emmy Award Winning Animator who has worked on many productions in various functions, from Layout - Storyboard - Animation to Direction. His contributions to the Peabody and Emmy Award Winning show Animaniacs (1993) are well known in and outside of the industry. Mitchell was instrumental in the development of the show. He contributed to ‘The Warner Brothers’ (Yakko, Wakko and Dot) personalities: the ways they’d ambulate, express and behave, through animation and in storyboarding the first appearances of these beloved characters. Brian is best known for what many consider the jewel of the series, ‘Yakko’s World’ (Nations Of The World), contributed to the premise of the first and funniest Pinky and the Brain episodes, ‘Win Big' and ‘Bubba Bo Bob Brain’ and won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement In Animation.
Currently, Brian is the fun, charming and engaging host of The Cartoonerific! Podcast -
a popular show that features interviews with Animators, Directors, Voice Talent and Authors. As such, he has earned himself the moniker “The Dick Cavett / Tom Snyder” of animation.
